Xiaomi has recently introduced the newly-addition to the Redmi Note 10 series, Redmi Note 8 2021. This was this year’s version of the brand’s 2019 flagship smartphone, which was surprising to anyone in the market. Here are some of the available details you should know about the brand, and whether it’s worthy to replace your old phone with this current Xiaomi brand.

Xiaomi has not yet released many information about the new Redmi Note series. However, we have patched some of the now available details about the phone, that may help you decide whether you like to buy it or not. Introducing Redmi Note 8 2021, also called as, “The Performance All Star” phone.
When it comes to display features, the Redmi Note 8 2021 is said to be having a waterdrop notch display which also has 6.3-inch display diagonally. Android Community reported, based on the pictures posted on Xiaomi’s pages, the bezels of the phone display still looks ‘significant,’ whilst the small logo of ‘Redmi’ is still written at the bottom part of the screen.
If we will based the display on the pictures available, the button controls of the phone may be located at the left side of the phone, than on the right. It may also include the SIM card slots. The stunning color of blue back case is also highlighted on the picture, but other colors may be available soon.
According to GS Marena and leakers, there are only limited information about the new phone’s camera specs. But, report suggests that there will be no changes to the cameras which has 1080p resolution, the selfie shooter with 13MP sensor, and the primary camera will be accompanied by 8MP ultrawide, 2MP macro, and 2MP depth modules.
Generally, leakers suggest that the new Redmi Note 8 2021 will not be different from the Note 8 2019. That means, all specs would likely be similar but with a slight difference when it comes to getting powered with Helio G85 SoC and has 22.5W charging. Aside that, the 3.5mm headphone jack may still remain together with the IR blaster and USB Type-C, if rumors are right.
The original Redmi Note 8 2019 ranges prices at $184.99 to $204.99. So far, the Indian prices are seeing the new handphone with Rs 10,000, which is equivalent to almost $140. If this is right, Xiaomi could be leaning towards giving more budget phones compared two years ago.
Should you buy it?
As of now, no official release dates are yet revealed by Xiaomi. That means, you still have time to save some money if you’re looking to buy this model for yourself. However, is it really worthy of buying?
In the TechVisibility perspective, the Redmi Note 8 2021 is a great budget phone, if you really don’t have money to buy more expensive ones. However, its current specs and features may not be as outstanding as other models available right now– some even slightly better specs with the Redmi’s. Still, it could be a backup phone, just in case you need one.
