Sony Bravia X90J Features and Specifications
The X90J is a 55-inch Ultra-HD (3840×2160-pixel) LED TV with Sony’s Triluminos technology, which is said to produce brighter colours. Theoretically, the Triluminos technology from Sony is somewhat similar to Samsung’s QLED technology, which uses the blue light from a backlight to emit pure basic colours thus improving display brightness and colour gamut.
It’s the world’s first TV with cognitive intelligence, according to reports, and it’s powered by Sony’s new XR Picture Processor, which takes AI processing to the next level. According to the material supplied, the cognitive processor simulates how humans utilize their brains to analyze visual and audio data. It recognizes the viewer’s attention point and analyzes numerous image quality components to make the scene stand out naturally, as well as improve the audio, for a better audio and visual experience.
The TV supports HLG, HDR10, and Dolby Vision formats for HDR, as well as Dolby Audio and Dolby Atmos for sound. It boasts full-array local dimming, HDMI 2.1, a peak refresh rate of 120Hz at Ultra-HD resolution, auto low-latency mode, and customizable refresh rate, so it’s suitable for both gaming and everyday content consumption.
It works with both Google Assistant and Alexa voice assistants because it runs on Google TV. It has Google Chromecast built-in for streaming content from your phone, as well as Apple AirPlay 2 and Apple HomeKit support. A 20W speaker system comes with the X90J.
HDR10 and Dolby Vision are supported on the X90J. Dolby Vision uses dynamic information to alter the brightness of the display frame by frame. HDR10, on the other hand, employs static information, which means that the content is only tweaked once. Dolby Vision guarantees that the appropriate areas are illuminated at the appropriate times. The contrast between the deep blacks and the dazzling whites is heightened as a result.
The X90J is also excellent for gaming.
When playing a compatible game, it supports 120Hz and 4K gameplay. It also features a specific game mode that minimizes input lag to under 8.5 milliseconds. If you have a PS5, you can turn on the TV with the DualShock 5 controller, which will take you straight to the PS5 interface.
VRR (variable refresh rate) compatibility will also be added in a future update, according to Sony. This will assist to reduce lag and frame tearing, resulting in a more smooth and detailed gameplay experience.
