While malware joker might not be very famous, it has found its way into various apps that can be found in the Google Playstore. It has been spotted in the store for three now. However, it is currently seen in eight apps in the play store. If your computer or phone has been infected by the virus, it is recommended that you apply a quick heal security on it.
Reports regarding malware have been increasing every day. It has also been reported that the perpetrators can also use the victim to subscribe to various premium products as well as services after hacking into the user’s information. Moreover, Quick heal security has reported the eight applications that are infected with malware on the Google Play Store. Due to this, Google itself has stated that they will be taking quick action by quickly removing the hacked applications from the platform. If you have downloaded any of the eight apps, your privacy could be at risk. Effects such as hacking on your device and monitoring your activity can be avoided by uninstalling and scanning to prevent any more damage from befalling your phone.
The eight affected applications by the Joker malware include Auxillary Message, Fast Magic SMS, Free CamScanner, Super Message, Element Scanner, Go Message, Travel Wallpaper, and Super SMS. If any of these applications have been present on your phone, you should immediately uninstall them. While the Cam Scanner might be a very useful tool for documents while working and studying online, it can bring further damage if it stays on your phone for a long time.
Malware is a serious problem nowadays, especially given the fact that almost all transactions have shifted online. People are constantly on their phones and computers, and so they could easily fall victims to various shenanigans orchestrated by hackers. Hence, it is imperative that we take caution in clicking ads or websites as well as installing applications and softwares that might be harmful to our devices.
