Vivo has been a known brand for smartphones, and is now branching to new territory, the tablet market. This company confirms the release of their first tablet by the end of this year. Here are the details of the possible “Vivo Pad”.
Tablets are gadgets that not everyone owns. However, 2020’s pandemic situation resulted in a much prominent use of these large screened mobile devices. May it be because of online distance learning, work-from-home set-up, and others. People realize that they need an even bigger screen compared to smartphones. With all these in mind, tech companies are turning into the market for more customers. They realized that tablets also have a market as much as smartphones do.
For instance, another Chinese company Realme also gave hints about the upcoming release of its tablet and laptop soon. And now, Vivo is joining the bandwagon.
Vivo’s First Tablet
TechRadar reported through a Chinese publication, ITHome, the official announcement of the company to release it first entry. It is expected to launch by the end of this year. Rumors about the said announcement has been ongoing since last year. Moreover, the Chinese company has recently trademarked it with the European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO) which brings more confirmation to the rumors.
Aside from this, there have been reports that the company’s sub-brand iQoo is also working on some Android tablets to offer. With that, not only can you wait for Vivo Pad by the end of the year, it may also include iQoo Pad, iQoo Book, and NEX Book.
However, as of today, further details about these Android tablets are yet to be announced. Still, rumors about the gadgets spread such as leaked images which was based on current Vivo phones. Sketches of the possible tablet show iPad-inspired thin bezels and a rectangle-shaped camera module. The images of the device show that it will have a full-screen display without any slot for the front camera. The rear camera is shown to be a dual-camera setup with an LED flash. Lastly, keys like power button (right) and volume rockets keys (left) are seen on the leaked images.
Again, all of these details do not have a confirmation yet from the tech company. More so, people still wonder whether the tablets will be launched to be available globally or just in China.
