Here comes the scarier version of Pokemon GO.
The Witcher: Monster Slayer is now coming to mobile phones on both iOS and Android on July 21. As early as now, players can pre-register for the game and even get a bonus by receiving the early game. Here’s everything you need to know about so-called ‘scarier version of Pokemon GO.‘
The Witcher: Monster Slayer: Everything you should know
The Witcher: Monster Slayer is the latest game from CD Projekt’s mobile studio, Spokko. This is an augmented reality game that is a location-based which allows players to use their phones in locating monsters around their area.
Players will take the role as the Witcher which is set in the period when monster slayers are still being hired in the community. Every player should be responsible in looking for the monsters that will be detected by their smartphone. They will quest in their actual locations which will transform into the real-life surrounding from The Witcher novels.
Soul creatures roam the vast lands of the Continent — and it falls to those known as witchers to hunt them down. Set long before the time of Geralt of Rivia, The Witcher: Monster Slayer is an augmented-reality exploration game that challenges you to become an elite monster hunter. See the world around you transformed into the dark fantasy realm of The Witcher, and explore once-familiar locations now infested with dangerous beasts as you start on the path as a professional monster slayer.
If you’re not familiar with the game, just think of Pokemon GO and you’re good to go. However, instead of catching pocket monsters from the game, The Witcher AR app lets you slay monsters before they get to you.
Players can also use potions or bombs, in case you need additional help.
How to download The Witcher: Monster Slayer
To download the game, you can just go to either Apple App Store or Google Play Store and search for The Witcher: Monster Slayer. Once you’re in, just tap the ‘Pre-register’ and wait until July 21 to automatically download the game from your phone.
