Nikon’s latest Z FC model is currently going out of stock since this advanced photography device with 80s look is largely in-demand. Here’s why.
Nikon has released another advanced mirrorless camera that can go toe-to-toe against other high-end DLSRs. This is currently a big deal since mirrorless cams usually fall behind when it comes to offering advanced features since manual DSLRs give more control to photographers and professional videographers.
However, this will all change since Nikon Z FC arrived. This new camera offers high-end photography features within an 80s body. Its retro-inspired exterior is also attracting a lot of consumers, which makes it hard for the giant camera developer to accommodate its interested fans.
The Japanese camera maker’s latest model is aimed specifically at lovers of 35mm film photography. And while it may look like something you’d find dangling around the neck of an old-school photojournalist, this compact Nikon model camera is anything but stuck in the past.
To give you more idea here’s why Nikon’s new Z FC model is so in-demand right now.
Z FC’s Design
The new Nikon Z FC is specifically inspired by one of the most beloved models of the giant camera creator, the FM2 SLR, which was introduced back in the 1908s. Like the titanium version of that camera, the new model combines a compact silver body with a black leather grip. Silver and black may be the classic combo, but if you want something a little out there, the camera will eventually be available in a variety of different textured grip colors, including tan, pink, and teal.
On the other hand, Nikon said that the new Z FC model doesn’t only offer an iconic look. It also provides the actual feels and handles of the recent FM2 SLR. The top of the device features a number of carved aluminum dials for settings like shutter speed, aperture, and ISO. The back of the camera also has a vintage-style circular eyecup around the viewfinder.
Z FC’s Advanced Photography Features
Aside from the iconic design, the new Nikon Z FC model also offers advanced features that will certainly make you want to come back for more. The Z FC is the second in the company’s Z series of APS-C (DX) mirrorless cameras and has many of the same features as the line’s first model, the Z50. These include a 20.9-megapixel image sensor, Expeed 6 processors, and the brand’s powerful Z mount.
The company’s new photography device can shoot at 11 fps and record 4K video, thanks to its 209-point autofocus system. Aside from the mentioned capabilities, the new Z FC also has a 2.36-million-dot OLED electronic viewfinder, vari-angle touchscreen, an SD card slot, USB-C for fast transfers, and an EN-EL-25 battery that should be good for 300 shots-per-charge.
Another great thing about Z FC is that users can use the popular DX 16-50mm f/3.5-6.3 VR lens and the brand-new Z 28mm f/2.8 (SE) lens together with it. The giant Japanese manufacturer will launch the new Z FC this coming August. in silver and black. Just the body itself will cost $960, but you’ll be able to buy it with the 16-50mm lens for $1,099.95 and with the 28mm lens for $1,199.95. All three options will be available in different color options through the company’s official website at a later date.
