Study comparing tweet volume from March to June 2020 and this year shows significant shift on emotion from joy to anger. It seems like the summer season brings much joy and happiness to everyone.
As the year 2020 was somehow in standstill due to companies, schools and others being affected. It also resulted in people staying at home for safety. Therefore, it is refreshing to see the people are planning more and more activities for this Summer 2021. It shows how usual activities like movies or dates are going back to our routine already. But still, with precautions.
And part of the report shows that people are planning to enjoy their summer through various activities. Trending subtopics within the summer conversation include Movies (up 243%) and Sports (up 79%). Several gatherings and parties are also in the works as BBQ + Grilling (up 71%), and Cocktails + Beer (up 46%) trends as well. Users claim to be focusing on themselves this summer through Fashion + Beauty which trends to an increase of 54%. Lastly, travel is also in the calendar as it trends up 26%.
