Apple could be working on a new version of iPhone 13. Some rumors claim that this new smartphone could have no physical buttons. Will you buy it?
iPhone 13 is currently one of the most popular smartphones in the market. Thanks to Apple’s advanced technologies, the tech giant creator can further improve its smartphone models and other devices.
The giant iPhone maker is popular for breaking the trends, such as wireless charging innovation, wireless earphones, and other innovations. Now the giant tech firm wants to make a new version of its latest smartphone that has now physical buttons.
This means that the new iPhone 13 will look sleeker since its glass screen will cover more areas, unlike the recent models which still have physical bumps acting as their volume, power, and other kinds of buttons. Apple’s innovation was leaked after some news sources were able to get their hands on the company’s latest patent titled “Disappearing Button or Slider.”
The giant iPhone maker said that “an input device is operable to detect input. The input device is a deflection-based capacitive sensing input device.”
Apple added that “deflection of a metal frame of the input device causes a change in capacitance that is used to control a function of an electrical device. The input device appears invisible because it is made of the same material as the housing it is contained in. Invisible backlit holes may make the input selectively visible or invisible to the user.”
Buttonless Apple Smartphone’s Details
Apple explained that it is currently considering releasing the buttonless iPhone 13 since there is an ever-present demand for improved appearance, improved functionality, and improved aesthetics. The company added that although its popular smartphone brand has a flat touch-sensitive screen, which presents a striking, seamless design, it still needs some design enhancements.
To make this happen, Apple is currently planning to make its iPhone 13 and other next-gen smartphones into devices that seem to come out from sci-fi movies. One of its plans is to integrate its fingerprint scanner.
Once this happens, Apple’s latest handset will have now physical buttons since the new scanner will be integrated under the surface of the phone’s screen and sides. It’s a tactic that certainly matches a buttonless, minimalist design aesthetic should Apple choose to go this route.
Some critics and other experts claim that the buttonless Apple handset will surely arrive since Apple is well-known for removing the regular components of its smartphones. One of these can be seen in one of its devices, which no longer has the headphone jack.
Aside from removing the physical buttons of its handset, Apple also plans to remove the device’s Lightning port so that it can go all-in on wireless charging. It would become Apple’s first-ever completely portless phone.
As of the moment, the giant smartphone creator still hasn’t confirmed if it is already putting its patent to the actual development stage. Since this is still a rumor, there’s a high chance that Apple could also ditch its plan since it already did it on its recent patents.
