Riot Games is currently planning to release a new update that can offer more personalized LoL experience. What is Progression Identity Changes feature?
Riot Games confirmed that the Summoner’s Rift will allow players to have a more personalized gaming experience, thanks to the so-called Progression Identity Changes update. For the past few years, the giant game developer has been focusing on releasing new champions, adjustments, game modes, and other in-game features to improve the actual gameplay of rank games and normal matches.
Riot Games said that in the Summoner’s Rift, “there are a variety of ways to show off who you are as a player: play style, role identity, Summoner Icons, Summoner Name, Prestige Level (border), rank, favorite champion, etc. It’s a lot! We bucket all these different ways into something we call “Progression Identity.”
Riot added that “with the intent to add more Progression Identity elements in the future to better show off who you are, it’s essential that each unique item we add fits with the intended League of Legends style and meet our visual quality bars for both fantasy and clarity.”
LoL’s developer said that the Summoner’s Rift still doesn’t properly represent all the elements of an LoL element expert. Because of this, Riot Games explained that the current version of the popular strategy title still lacks the correct Progression Identity options to make every gamer special in the Summoner’s Rift.
But, this will definitely change once Riot Games releases its major Progression Identity Changes update. To help you further, here are all the details you need to know about the upcoming personalization feature enhancements.
The Summoner’s Rift Will Offer More Personalized In-Game Experience
Riot Games explained that the new Progression Identity options will perfectly fit the in-game needs of the players from a myriad of available possibilities. The game developer added that it is currently looking to update its current roster of personalization elements.
Here are the two main goals of Riot Games’ upcoming Progression Identity Changes update:
- Refresh some of League’s core identity features alongside new system styles for 2021 and beyond.
- Allow players more agency over their identity so they can show off their personal League brand more clearly.
The giant game developer confirmed that League of Legends will have mentioned adaptations before the year 2021 ends. It added that LoL’s new features will offer new system content. It added that the Summoner’s Rift will have full identity customization by the end of 2021. However, the release date could still be changed depending on the issues that the main developers could encounter.
On the other hand, League of Legends will offer a new lobby, loading screen, and end-of-game design. LoL, the developer team explained that there is a large influence of the old style in the lobby with map accents and background images remaining relatively untouched. But, they also added that they are trying to reduce the noise of some of the more distinct elements like unused banners in-game flow screens and clunky footer UI in the client to focus on identity components that allow players to stand out when you’re queued up with friends, teammates, or just loading into the game.
