Looking for online free games?
This coming weekend is the first weekend of the month of August. That means you have to get your rest day and play as much as you want during this time. Luckily, two major tech companies announced their latest set of free games, available throughout the next week. Here are the free games to expect on both Apple Arcade and Epic Games.
Apple Arcade now has 200 games
On Friday, Aug. 6, CNET reported about Apple Arcade surpassing 200 free games on the platform. For only $5 a month, all the 200 games can be played and downloaded on the service.
As of recently, Super Leap Day, Super Stickman Golf 3+, and Monster Hunter Stories+, were the latest addition to the list.
Super Leap Day
Super Leap Day game was only launched last July. The game features a new level each day. Players must defeat every other player and make sure to reach the top called ‘Gold Cup.’
Super Stickman Golf 3+
For this game, players should just remember the rules of golf in real life. According to its website, the game has four objectives: Spin it to Win it, Cards!, Daily Races, and New Golfers, Hats, Powerups, and more. Check out their website to find out the difference between all these game types.
Monster Hunter Stories+
The 200th game offer of Apple Arcade is called Monster Hunter Stories+. According to Apple App Store, the game begins in a forest near the village of Riders. Three young friends—the hero, Lilia, and Cheval—stumble upon a shining egg.
“Monsties, and the bonds you form with them, are the backbone of your adventure. Explore vast environments and dungeons to find monster dens, and bring back the eggs you find to hatch new Monsties!” as added on the website.
Apple Arcade launch
Apple Arcade was first launched in 2019. Since then, Apple has already made 200 games available to be freely downloaded on the platform.
To download the game, just go to Apple App Store and search for the Apple Arcade tab. For new purchasers, the first month would be free, according to Apple.
New titles are added to Apple Arcade on a regular basis, and in the near future, the service will be gaining “MasterChef: Let’s Cook,” “Layton’s Mystery Journey+,” “Asphalt Airborne 8+,” “Baldo The Guardian Owls,” “Tetris Beat,” and “Wurdweb.”
Epic Games free games
Last Thursday, Epic Games released the new set of its free games: A Plague Tale: Innocence and Speed Brawl. These games will be made available from Aug. 5 to Aug. 12. The first game is now available to be downloaded from the website. However, the second one is still not yet available on Epic Games Store.
A Plague Tale: Innocence
This game follows the grim tale of young Amicia and her little brother Hugo, in a heartrending journey through the darkest hours of history, as said on the Steam website.
If you love a horror sci-fi game, this is the perfect match for you.
Speed Brawl
“Speed Brawl is a 2D combat racer about moving fast and hitting hard! Maintain your momentum, build your combos, and unleash powerful special moves. Find your own fighting style, and assemble the finest team of brawlers ever seen,” said on Steam website.
Compared to Apple Arcade, Epic Games requires no fees whatsoever in its free games.
