Google Find My Device is the feature that most clumsy Android smartphone users need right now, If you are one of them, here’s how you can use it.

How To Find A Lost Android Smartphone Using Google Find My Device

Google Find My Device is a pretty great smartphone feature. However, it is only available for Android models. Right now, there are still many Android users who are quite clumsy when it comes to taking care of their personal handsets.

Their reason could be because the one they have is cheap or it could be that their Android device is just a backup one. No matter what the reason behind your clumsiness, Google Find My Device would still be able to locate your missing gadget.

Find My Device depends on two things being enabled. These are specifically the function itself and the Android device’s location service. But, before you can use it, you need to remember that your device should be turned on and signed in to a Google account.

Google’s advanced smartphone feature comes as part of the standard OS on Pixels and several other Android phones and is usually turned on by default. Be aware that some Android models may offer a different app; for example, Samsung phones have their own Find My Mobile app.

How To Use Find My Device

For those that have no idea how the advanced Google Find My Device works, it is a feature that is available on PC or desktop. If you want to use it, all you need to do is follow this simple instruction.

On the other hand, for those who still don’t have the Google Find My Device application, you can visit the official Play Store and install the app.

Aside from this, you also need to check if your Android smartphone has its location turned on. Why? Because the Google Find My Device would not work if your handset is on airplane mode or if its GPS is not activated. To do this, all you need to do is follow these easy steps.

Accessing Find My Device Feature

Since you already completed setting up the giant tech firm’s advanced Find My Device feature, you can now easily use it by searching the function’s name on your computer’s search bar. If you haven’t used it before, you may need to give Google permission to use location data to locate your device. You may also be able to immediately ring your phone from the Google search page to try to find it.

Otherwise, click on the link and you’ll be taken to the Find My Device page, which will name your phone, the last time it was pinged (and the name of the Wi-Fi network it was using), and the current battery power. After that, you will see a map, which will show you the last location of your device.

Once you’ve located your device, there are three options that are listed on the left side of the screen. Which you choose depends on whether you feel the device is in a safe place or not:
