PS5 Light was recently leaked by various rumors. Now, different reliable sources confirmed that the new gaming device is already spotted in the wild!
Sony already leaked some details about the alleged new PS5 model, which is considered to be lighter than the current version. Now, various rumors, especially reliable sources, claimed that the new gaming device is already in the wild.
They said that a new model of PlayStation 5 has reportedly been spotted out in the wild just one month after reports of a leaked new PS5 model made the rounds. During that period, speculations explained that a new version of the all-digital version of the console, CFI-1100B01, was on the way.
However, other reports stated that a new or upgraded PS5 model for the disc version of the console, CFI-1102A, has appeared in Australia. As of the moment, it is still unclear what the new PlayStation 5 model might include. Although this is the case, several publishing companies said that there is a leaked detail about the console’s new stand design.
Based on the leaked images, the new PS5 disc version model spotted in Australia, CFI-1102A, includes a new screw that is adjustable by hand for the stand rather than the original screw, which required a screwdriver.
Lighter PlayStation 5 Already In Development?
Since new information about the upcoming lighter PS5 model is being leaked, it seems like Sony is already finishing the new gaming console. Some leakers claimed that the new PlayStation 5 might also weigh slightly less by 300 grams. It’s unclear what sort of changes might have accounted for the difference in weight as it seems unlikely that simply changing the screw would account for that.
On the other hand, it seems like the new PS5 model would make some drastic changes to the manufacturing of the consoles without announcing anything, however, so it seems fair to assume that whatever changes might have been made are minor at best.
When it comes to pricing, the new PS5 model is expected to cost around $500. However, it is still not yet confirmed if it would make the popular PlayStation 5 pricier. Since Sony is making new variants of its popular gaming device, it seems like PlayStation 5 is still the most in-demand console in the market.
PlayStation 5 is Still the Most In-Demand
To give you more idea about how in-demand the current gaming gadget of Sony really is, the tech developer confirmed that it sold more than 10 million units for the past 249 days. Because of this feat, various game enthusiasts claimed that PlayStation 5 is now the fastest-selling console in the market, which is followed by PlayStation 4.
The popular Sony gaming gadget reached the milestone on July 18, 249 days after its launch, according to another news release sent Wednesday. By comparison, Sony announced on Aug. 12, 2014, that 10 million PlayStation 4 consoles had been sold, 271 days after its launch.
On the other hand, Sony’s statement on Wednesday, Aug. 18, acknowledged the fact the PlayStation 5 gaming gadget hit this milestone despite facing greater demand and supply constraints than any of its predecessors. Veronica Rogers, the SIE’s worldwide chief of business operations, also explained that “pushing through supply challenges and a global pandemic, we’re proud to have delivered a transformational gaming experience that is captivating players around the world.”
