Spotify’s Enhance feature, which is only available to Spotify Premium subscribers, has been launched.
The launch of Spotify Enhance feature, which is only available to Premium subscribers, has been confirmed. It’s another attempt to set itself apart from competitors such as Apple Music’s music streaming service.
Users will be given personalized track suggestions to add to their playlists by the service. If you’re eligible, the new feature will appear as a special button at the top of each playlist in the Spotify app if you’re a subscriber.
Avid playlist creators know: Some playlists come together without a hitch. With others, though, it may prove more difficult to find tracks that fit the tone or mood—or you might be looking to broaden your horizons and add new songs and artists. For those listeners who need some assistance while adding tracks to a new or existing playlist, we’re introducing Enhance.Spotify
The feature is activated by clicking the new Enhance button at the top of playlists. Toggle it on, and Spotify’s algorithm will add recommended songs that it thinks will fit into your playlist automatically. Enhance-recommended songs will have a bright green sparkles icon next to them to indicate that they weren’t on your original list and can be permanently added by tapping the plus button next to the song.
Spotify Premium users will be able to add personalized recommendations to their playlists with Enhance. Here’s how to enable it and put it to use:
- Open the Spotify app.
- Go to your playlists
- At the top of the playlist, look for the Enhance button
- Press the button
- A list of new tracks will appear (based on tracks already in the playlist)
- By pressing the ‘+’ icon next to the recommended tracks, a user can listen to a song or add it directly to their playlist
- Songs added through Enhance will not replace or interfere with songs already on your playlist, and can be easily removed by toggling off the Enhance button at the top of your playlist. Spotify will only add a maximum of 30 songs at a time, with additions spaced out every two tracks, so you won’t have to worry about the recommendations drowning out your original songs.
