Clubhouse’s new features allow users to visit past room recordings! Here’s how the new Clips and Replays features work. There are also some small changes.
Clubhouse has received some new features that allow you to visit the recordings of the previous rooms. For the past few years, the popular audio platform’s prime appeal has been its real-time nature.
However, it seems like Clubhouse is shifting its method on providing the recordings of its influencers and common consumers. Why? Because the giant voice app is expected to allow users access to previous recordings, thanks to the arrival of the new Clips and Replay features.
The giant app company said that “at Clubhouse we like to ship quickly. Just last week we saw the one billionth Backchannel message sent and the response to the Waves launch has been massive!”
Developers behind the popular app said that they “want to make it easier for creators to share great moments and grow their audiences on Clubhouse, which is why we’re launching Clips.”
If you haven’t read the Clubhouse’s post yet, here are all the details it confirmed.
Clips and Replays are Now Available!
On its latest Twitter post, Clubhouse confirmed that the new Clips feature’s beta version has already rolled out to users, starting on Oct. 1. The popular audio app company explained that this new function allows users to share 30-seconds clips of public rooms.
The new Clubhouse Clips feature works when you start a room, you can choose whether you want clips enabled. They’ll be on by default for open/public rooms, and you can toggle them off anytime. They are not available for private, social, or clubrooms.
The giant audio platform’s users can also share Clips of their shows to Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, WhatsApp, and iMessage. Consumers can even save their 30-seconds audio clips using their camera rolls, allowing them to edit the audio first.
The new Replays feature of the audio platform would be rolled out a little late. Once it is launched, consumers can either choose to activate it whenever they start a new room. If it is enabled, the app’s users will have their rooms discoverable on the audio application’s ecosystem, allowing them to share their virtual audio room, as well as download it.
The giant audio platform’s new Replays feature also makes audio content creation smoother and easier. Developers behind these new capabilities said that there are a “lot of details we want to get right here, so we are going to be testing and continuing to develop this feature in the wild for a few more weeks, and plan to roll out access to creators and community members beginning in October.”
Aside from the mentioned features, the platforms also released the following new functions;
- Spatial Audio for Android
- Universal Search
