Samsung created a new website called OLED ERA. If you are one of the consumers that still have no idea about it, here are the details you need to know.
Samsung released a new website specifically for OLED technologies. The new OLED ERA global website offers different types of OLED screens, which can be used for regular smartphones, foldable, and other products.
The giant tech firm said “No backlights, no complex color filters. Samsung OLED’s organic materials emit brilliant light and color, all on their own. Eliminating the entire backlight configuration gives you an even thinner display. All with incomparably superior image quality.”
Apple‘s giant competitor added that “Samsung OLED devices save you energy. Only individual pixels are needed to express the image and colors are lit. Pixels in black sections stay completely unlit. By not covering light to simulate black, you save energy when plugged in and save battery power when on the go.”
New OLED ERA Global Website
With the arrival of the new Samsung OLED ERA website, consumers, as well as new users, critics, and other experts across the globe, can now learn more about OLED-related technologies, trends, and other content through the website.
Samsung said that this newly launched website will showcase the different products and technological advantages of Samsung OLED. As of now, the website supports three languages including Chinese, Korean, and English. On the other hand, the new platform also includes the basic principles of OLED and an introduction to the advantages of OLED optimized for individual applications.
On the other hand, Samsung explained that it launched the new OLED ERA website since the OLED market is still expanding like never before. This screen technology is reaching more devices compared to the recent years. OLED is now being used in foldable devices and notebook computers.
Samsung also claimed that consumer interest in OLED is also increasing, which is why there is a need to bring direct information to consumers as well as enthusiasts. Before the giant tech creator reached its current status in the OLED market, there are quite a few users who criticize it for using AMOLED screens.
Although this is the case, the giant tech manufacturer did not allow negative opinions to stop what it is currently doing to enhance its OLED innovations. Thanks to its huge efforts, it has been holding the lead in the production of AMOLED screens for some time, but its share is inexorably decreasing. If earlier its share was estimated at more than 90%, today the company controls 69.5% of the OLED panel market and in quantitative terms, it is 101 million units and this is 20% less than a month earlier.
However, the giant Galaxy maker still has a lot of competitors in the OLED market. As of the moment, the company’s share is declining under the attack of Chinese companies BOE, Visionox, TCL China Star Optoelectronics, and Tianma Microelectronics, which have mastered the production of OLEDs, and their products are increasingly being purchased by Xiaomi, Oppo, Vivo, Realme, iQOO, and other companies. The total share of Chinese OLED screen manufacturers exceeded 24.2% versus 15.6% a quarter earlier.
