The Samsung Galaxy S22 is Samsung’s upcoming flagship phone. The latest Samsung Galaxy S phones are the most popular Samsung smartphones out there, and the Samsung Galaxy S22 is said to be one of the best yet. But before we can get our hands on it, someone leaked some pictures of its camera. Here’s what you need to know about this leak.
Samsung Galaxy S22 Camera leaks
According to Tech Radar, the Galaxy S models don’t always have the most effective cameras, unlike the top and ultra Galaxy S models. Given what you’re paying for, however, you’d expect it to at least provide a pleasant photo experience. Samsung, on the other hand, hasn’t altered the sensors in its flagship smartphones for two generations. According to Ice universe’s most recent tweet, there may be cause for optimism for the Galaxy S22 and Galaxy S22+ next year.
The primary main camera, which has been using a 12MP sensor for years, will now be replaced by a 50MP 1/1.57-inch sensor with 1.0 µm pixels and an f/1.8 lens aperture, according to the leaked details. The new Samsung ISOCELL GN5 or Sony IMX766, depending on the variant or market, are both possible candidates. However, pixel binning will return to producing 12.5MP images as it has in the past.
The telephoto camera, on the other hand, is a bit of a toss-up since the Galaxy S21’s 64MP PDAF sensor can be swapped for a 10MP shooter. The Galaxy S22, on the other hand, could make up for it by increasing the 1.1x optical zoom to 3x, but that still pales in comparison to the Galaxy S22 Ultra’s anticipated 10x periscope telephoto camera.
All else being equal, the Galaxy S21 will retain the same camera components as its predecessor, such as a 12MP ultra-wide fixed focus camera. The front of the device will have a 10MP 1/3.24-inch 1.22 µm pixel sensor with an f/2.2 lens, just like before. Samsung’s latest flagships feature essentially the same parts as its previous models.
Samsung Galaxy S22: What to expect?
Samsung’s Galaxy S22 is one of the most anticipated smartphones for 2021. Based on other reports, the iconic phone will be released in 2022, which means Samsung only has more than one month now.
The phone is expected to be Samsung’s first smartphone with a notched display. Samsung’s previous Samsung Galaxy S11 and Samsung Galaxy Note 21 did not have a notch, but Samsung is expected to release the Samsung Galaxy S22 with a notch. It seems that Samsung has decided to follow Apple in this regard.
Although it may be considered an important design change for smartphones, we will see how users react to turning Samsung Galaxy S22 into Samsung Galaxy Note 21 design. Samsung is offering more than one storage option for the upcoming Galaxy S22, but it seems that the most expensive model will offer 512 GB of internal memory.
Samsung’s phone is expected to have a Snapdragon chip, but it seems that the company will offer more than one option with different clock speeds. Samsung is also offering several features in its new phone, including Bluetooth v30 support and two rear cameras.
