Following its first release on PC back in 2020, independent publisher Digerati has announced that DreadOut 2, the follow-up to cult streaming favorite DreadOut, will bring its eerie happenings to PlayStation and Xbox platforms in July.

A third-person horror adventure called DreadOut 2 was influenced by folktales and urban legends from Indonesia. Play as Linda Meillinda, a high school student who possesses the magical sense and perception of ghosts. Linda must track down the terrifying ghosts and evil entities that endanger not only her hometown but the entire human race with the help of her dependable smartphone.
With brand-new melee action and a stronger focus on exploration, this unsettling follow-up builds on the cult hit original, making DreadOut 2 another engaging and horrifying contribution to the horror genre.

Explore Ms. Mellinda’s hometown, interact with the living and the dead, complete a variety of side quests, explore ominous, lonely, and unsettling nooks, or simply use a hammer to literally break the bones of the undead. Spengler, keep your proton pack. DreadOut 2 builds on the first game by placing a stronger emphasis on exploration and combat, but it still features a ton of terrible monsters and jump scares. Even though it’s not Resident Evil, it will undoubtedly satisfy those looking for a few spooky situations on a tired evening.
All you need to know features:
- Banish Them All! – Hunt and defeat intangible ghosts with Linda’s smartphone camera, or use melee weapons and projectiles against physical ghosts.
- A World of Dread – Explore Linda’s birthplace and surrounding areas, interact with locals (living and dead), accomplish side quests, and learn more about DreadOut legend.
- Discover Ghosts and Urban Legends – Linda’s smartphone’s Ghostpedia app requires her to find ghosts and debunk local myths.
- Terrifying Boss Spirits – Keep your composure as you face off against the most hostile spirits in the ghostly world, such as the unsettling Kuntilanak and horrific Gore Surgeon.
In the last ten years or so, survival horror games have advanced significantly. The Last of Us Part II, Resident Evil Village, and other titles have given the genre the mainstream success it had been missing. These well-known AAA games are only the tip of the iceberg in this genre, though.

Even if they are smaller in scope, many excellent horror games are released every year. These primarily independent films continue to define the survival horror subgenre and are widely praised. DreadOut, created by Indonesian developer Digital Happiness, is one of these underappreciated horror game series.
The game promises a very exciting adventure for horror survival game enthusiasts as much as the original game This sequel is also anticipated to be as amazing as the predecessor version of the game. DreadOut 2 debuts on Xbox platforms on July 15 and on PlayStation on July 20. It costs approximately $20. On the PC, it is currently for sale on Steam.
