The range of smartphones from Tecno is always expanding. The Camon family represents the pinnacle of Tecno.

It includes of phones with larger displays and a stronger emphasis on camera performance and features. The OIS-enabled 64MP main camera with laser focusing and the 50MP 2x telephoto camera on the rear of the Camon 19 Pro are no different.

Design

The Camon 19 Pro‘s overall form is not very unique. There are some slight parallels to the iPhone in terms of the rounded corners and relatively flat sides, but they are minimal at best.

The 204 gram body of the Camon 19 Pro is beautifully balanced and feels neither too heavy nor too light in the hand. Particularly for its dimensions of 166.8 x 74.6 x 8.6 mm. Polar Blue and Eco Black are the two color options for the Tecno Camon 19 Pro.

Battery life

A sizable 5,000 mAh battery is included with the Camon 19 Pro. The Helio G96 has historically demonstrated that it is an effective chip.

The Camon 19 Pro, which achieved an exceptional battery longevity of 121 hours, exemplifies the synergy between the two realities.

Software

The Camon 19 Pro is powered by Android 12 and Tecno’s proprietary HiOS 8.6. Since quite some time, Tecno has been developing and improving its own skin, which we have previously found to be generally fairly nice with a few on and off caveats here and there. These mainly consist of pre-installed bloat and advertisements.

Particularly with its Camon range of smartphones, Tecno provides interesting camera configurations. The Camon 19 Pro is the same. The Camon 19 Pro appears excellent from a hardware perspective with a 64MP main camera with OIS and Laser auto focus, a massive 50MP 2x telephoto camera, and a big 32MP selfie.

The verdict

The cost of the Tecno Camon 19 Pro is really reasonable. Depending on the market, you should be able to choose a base 8GB plus 128GB model for slightly over $200.

Unfortunately, the Camon 19 Pro struggles to distinguish itself from the majority of its tempting rivals on the market despite being up against many of them.

Having stated that, cost is what determines everything in the end. You shouldn’t hesitate too much to buy a Camon 19 Pro if it’s on sale or a fantastic offer in your local market. If that’s not the case, make sure you comparison shop more.
